ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A vehicle accident Friday afternoon closed a left lane on Interstate 40 near northwest Albuquerque, reports NM Roads.
The wreck occurred on the eastbound interstate approaching Rio Grande Boulevard Northwest and 12th Street Northwest (mile marker 157). Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 1:13 p.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but the closure remained in place for at least an hour.
Delays were projected in the area.
As of this writing, officials have not disclosed any details regarding potential injuries.
