ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOB, a man was allegedly impaired when he crashed his Corvette into the rear of a Subaru on Interstate 40 at mile marker 155 on Monday.
A preliminary investigation found that Alejandro Gonzalez, 23, was driving an orange Corvette at around 120 mph when he slammed the car into the rear of a white Subaru at around 2:14 a.m., causing substantial damage to both vehicles.
First responders discovered the Corvette in a nearby ditch, with both Gonzalez and a passenger outside the car. The passenger was rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the two people in the Subaru were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Responding officers said Gonzalez showed signs of impairment following the crash. After reportedly failing sobriety tests conducted at the scene, Gonzalez was charged with aggravated DWI.
Dump truck crash causes traffic delays near Huning Highlands
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A multi-vehicle wreck clogged traffic on northbound Interstate 25 at Coal Avenue Southeast on Thursday morning, according to KOB.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. Following the crash, NMDOT cameras showed a dump truck on its side and a white sedan on a tow truck. It is unclear if any other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Traffic was backed up to Sunport Boulevard, around 3 miles south of the crash site.
Crews eventually reopened the area, and traffic is now moving normally.
It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the incident.
Crash near La Mora Acres injures at least 1 person
SOUTH VALLEY, NM – According to BCSO, at least one person was hurt in a wreck at Rio Bravo Boulevard Southwest and Isleta Boulevard Southwest on Wednesday.
The incident was reported to authorities at around 6:54 a.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
