TORRANCE COUNTY, NM — A commercial vehicle accident was reported Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 40 near east Moriarty, according to NM Roads.
The collision occurred on the westbound side of the interstate at the Rattlesnake Draw Rest Area. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 12:25 p.m.
Authorities have not provided further details indicating the cause of the wreck, but the closure remained in place more than three hours later.
At this time, it is unclear whether another vehicle was involved or whether anyone was seriously hurt.
