Collision reported on I-25 SB near Albuquerque’s Cervantes area

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A vehicle wreck Thursday morning closed two center lanes on Interstate 25 in northeast Albuquerque, reports NMRoads511.

The accident impacted the southbound lanes at Exit 227 to Comanche Road Northeast, near the Cervantes neighborhood. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 10:08 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash, but the lanes remained blocked for more than 30 minutes.


By 10:40 a.m., crews had cleared the scene from the roadway.


No injuries have been confirmed as of this writing.
