Collision closes section of I-40 WB near Westland Row

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Deputies were called to a crash late Monday night on Interstate 40 in Albuquerque’s Westland Row area, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident took place on the westbound lanes near mile marker 150, about three miles west of 98th Street Northwest. Officials arrived on the scene shortly before 11:57 p.m.

While the cause of the wreck was not immediately clear, all westbound lanes in the area were blocked as a result.

As of this writing, the sheriff’s office has not confirmed any major injuries in the event.
