BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Deputies responded to a crash late Wednesday morning on Interstate 40 near east Tijeras, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident took place on the westbound lanes at Exit 181 to Sedillo Hill Road, or New Mexico Road 306. Officials arrived on the scene shortly before 11:06 a.m.
Little information has been shared at this time, but all westbound traffic was forced to get by through a single open lane.
It was unclear whether slick roadways played a role in the wreck, but motorists were advised to use extra caution due to the icy road conditions at the time.
