GUADALUPE COUNTY, NM — A crash early Friday blocked a westbound lane and shoulder of Interstate 40 for over eight hours near Santa Rosa, reports NM Roads.
The accident occurred on the westbound interstate at mile marker 274 shortly before 4:45 a.m.
Officials have not disclosed details on the circumstances behind the event, but as of 2:00 p.m., the closure remained in place.
It is not immediately clear when the scene is expected to clear.
No injuries have been confirmed at this time.
