Collision blocks part of NM-273 in both directions near Anthony

DOÑA ANA COUNTY, NM — Emergency crews were called to a wreck last Thursday afternoon, November 2, on New Mexico State Road 273 near Anthony, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

The accident took place at milepost 13, just south of Wallace Road. It was first recorded by NMDOT at 3:55 p.m.

Motorists were asked to slow down and approach the area with extra caution during the response, which had a section of NM-273 shut down in both directions. Delays were expected.

As of this writing, local officials have not provided further information indicating the cause of the crash or the types of vehicles involved.
