
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Authorities were called to a crash Friday afternoon on Interstate 40 in Albuquerque’s Netherwood Park area, according to NM Roads.
The accident occurred on the westbound lanes at mile marker 160, before University Boulevard Northeast. It was first recorded by NM Roads at 2:00 p.m.
While the circumstances of the wreck remain unclear, the right lane and right shoulder were closed in the immediate aftermath.
Motorists were advised of delays in the area and asked to use extra caution.
As of 3:30 p.m., an hour and a half after the initial report, the scene remained on the roadway, suggesting a major crash.
No injuries have been confirmed at this time.
