ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Authorities were called to a wreck Tuesday afternoon that closed a left lane on Interstate 40 in northeast Albuquerque, according to TTN Albuquerque.

The accident happened on the eastbound lanes approaching Exit 160 to Carlisle Boulevard, near the city’s Netherwood Park area. It was first recorded by TTN at 2:35 p.m.

Few details have been released, but the lane closure created a traffic backup that stretched down to I-25 at the Big I.

At this time, it remains unclear what caused the collision, how many vehicles were impacted, and whether anyone was hurt.
