EDGEWOOD, N.M. – A two-year-old child was killed after being run over by a vehicle at an auto parts store on State Highway 333 on Sunday, KOAT 7 reports.
According to Edgewood Police, the child was in a car that hit an uneven spot, causing the passenger door to open. The child then fell out and was run over by the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle drove to a separate location to meet with emergency services. The child was transported UNM Hospital where they later died.
Police have not filed charges related to the incident.
