ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A rollover crash involving a cement truck Monday closed multiple lanes on Interstate 25 in northeast Albuquerque, reports the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT).
Crews responded to the scene on the southbound interstate at Paseo Del Norte Boulevard Northeast (Exit 232), near the Sun North Estates neighborhood. The accident was first reported shortly before noon.
Authorities have not provided details on the cause of the crash, but the cement tank dropped its tank on the roadway.
Photos taken at the scene show crews working to get the wreckage upright and cleared from the area.
All southbound traffic was forced to get by through one lane, causing extended delays.
At 3:33 p.m., over three hours later, the interstate was reopened.
No injuries have been confirmed at this time.
