BCSO responds to wreck on Coors Blvd in SW Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A vehicle crash late Thursday afternoon had part of Coors Boulevard closed in southwest Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident was reported on a stretch of the road (New Mexico State Road 45) at Lamonica Road Southwest, near Walmart Supercenter. Deputies responded to the scene at around 4:34 p.m.

Few details have been provided, but Coors Boulevard was shut down in both directions during the emergency response and investigation.


It was unclear whether anyone was injured and/or taken to a hospital, but by 5:22 p.m., nearly 50 minutes later, the scene had been cleared from the roadway.
