BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Two people were medically evaluated after a rollover wreck Saturday morning on Interstate 40 near east Tijeras, reports the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said the accident occurred on the eastbound lanes between mile markers 182 and 183, in the Sedillo Hill area. Deputies arrived on the scene shortly before 7:32 a.m.

The circumstances around the wreck have not been shared, but first responders tended to two occupants of the overturned vehicle at the scene. While no life-threatening injuries were reported, it was unclear whether anyone had to be sent to a hospital.

A photo shared by the sheriff’s office shows a dark-colored pickup truck at rest off the roadway. While no significant vehicle damage is visible, debris can be seen strewn across the area.

All of eastbound I-40 was reduced to just two lanes in the immediate aftermath.

Shortly before 9:30 a.m., crews had cleared the scene and all lanes were reported reopened.
