ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Deputies responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian Wednesday night on Pajarito Road in southwest Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision took place in the 3600 block of the road, near Pajarito Cemetery in the city’s South Hills neighborhood. It was first reported by the BCSO at 7:43 p.m., when deputies had already arrived on the scene.
The sheriff’s office has not disclosed the cause of the accident, but at least one person died as a result. Authorities have not confirmed whether the decedent was the pedestrian.
A section of Pajarito Road Southwest was shut down in both directions.

Accident closes lane on I-40 WB at University Blvd in NE Albuquerque
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Authorities were dispatched to a wreck Thursday afternoon on Interstate 40 in northeast Albuquerque, according to NM Roads.
The crash impacted the westbound lanes approaching University Boulevard Northeast, in the city’s Netherwood Park area. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 2:26 p.m.
Preliminary details indicate the right westbound lane was closed in the immediate aftermath, causing significant delays in the area.
At this time, no information about the involved parties or the circumstances of the wreck has been provided. No major injuries have been confirmed.
Accident reported on Coors Blvd at Arenal Rd in SW Albuquerque
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Authorities responded to a vehicle accident last Thursday, December 14, in southwest Albuquerque’s Desert Spring Flower area, according to KKOB Traffic.
The crash happened at the intersection of Coors Boulevard and Arenal Road. It was first reported by KKOB at 8:05 a.m.
