BCSO responds to crash on Rio Bravo Blvd in SW Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Deputies responded to a wreck early Tuesday on Rio Bravo Boulevard near the Rio Grande in southwest Albuquerque, reports the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident impacted the westbound lanes at the river, along Rio Bravo Riverside Picnic Area. Officials arrived on the scene at around 2:31 a.m.

No details have been shared regarding the circumstances behind the event, but all westbound lanes in the area were blocked during in the aftermath.

At 3:25 a.m., over an hour later, officials announced the scene had been cleared with all lanes reopened.


It remains unclear whether anyone was injured.
