BCSO responds to collision on near I-40 onramp in west Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Deputies were called to a crash early Sunday on Atrisco Vista Boulevard in west Albuquerque, reports the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened on the southbound lanes near the entrance ramp to Interstate 40, in the city’s Westland Row area. Officials responded to the scene shortly before 12:13 a.m.

Authorities have not released the sequence of events leading up to the crash, but no major injuries were immediately reported.

The entrance ramp and two southbound lanes of Atrisco Vista Boulevard were closed for over an hour during the emergency response.


By 1:27 a.m., crews had cleared out of the area and all lanes were reported reopened.
