BCSO investigates fatal crash involving pedestrian on I-25 in south Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A pedestrian was involved in a fatal crash Friday afternoon on Interstate 25 in south Albuquerque, according to KOAT.

The incident was reported on a stretch of northbound I-25 near Bobby Foster Road, in the Mountain View area. It was first reported by KOAT shortly before 2:10 p.m.

Few details have been made available, but the the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the crash resulted in at least one death. Authorities did not immediately clarify whether the person killed was the pedestrian.

All northbound traffic was diverted off the interstate during the emergency response and initial investigation.
