
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — At least one person died late Tuesday following a vehicle crash on Interstate 25 in south Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The fatal wreck occurred on northbound I-25 at mile marker 217, about two miles north of Broadway Boulevard Southeast (New Mexico State Road 47), in the Mountain View area. Deputies arrived on the scene some time before 11:11 p.m.
Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances of the event or the number of vehicles involved, but the sheriff’s office confirmed a fatality.
All northbound lanes of I-25 at Broadway Boulevard were closed as first responders worked the scene. Motorists were asked to find alternate routes.
