NORTH VALLEY, NM – According to KOB, a BCSO deputy was involved in a deadly collision at Alameda Rd NE and Edith Blvd NE on Wednesday.
A deputy driving a marked BCSO Ford Explorer was following a silver Honda Accord because they thought it was suspicious. The Accord driver braked-checked the deputy, causing the deputy to rear-end the car and send it crashing into a wall.
Rescue crews pronounced the Honda driver dead at the scene. They were not wearing a seatbelt.
The deputy was not hurt in the collision.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the collision.
Driver strikes, kills pedestrian near Snow Heights
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A driver fatally collided with a pedestrian who was running away from Kaseman Hospital, near Constitution Ave NE and Wyoming Blvd NE, after allegedly assaulting security guards there, according to KOB.
A person was driving a pickup truck west on Constitution Ave NE when they hit the pedestrian around 3:30 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Following the collision, the pickup truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The APD Fatal Crash Team is investigating the incident.
Cement truck wreck closes down section of I-25 near South Broadway
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOAT, a crash involving a cement truck closed down I-25 SB and Avenida Cesar Chavez on Tuesday.
The wreck caused the cement truck to roll over and dump cement on the roadway.
Officials have not provided details concerning the cause of the incident or the condition of those involved.
