
BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Deputies responded to a crash Sunday afternoon on Interstate 40 near the Tablazon Meadows area of northeast Tijeras, reports the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident impacted the eastbound interstate between mile markers 178 and 179, near Sedillo Hill Road. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 2:22 p.m.
Details remain limited, but all eastbound lanes in the area were shut down during the response. At the time of the report, BCSO deputies were working to allow motorists to pass the scene along the median.
At 3:10 p.m., over 40 minutes later, officials had cleared the wreck and the roadway was reopened to normal traffic.

The sheriff’s office has not disclosed any information regarding potential injuries.
