ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A vehicle crash last Saturday evening, August 19, reduced eastbound Alameda Boulevard to a single lane in north Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened on the eastbound lanes of the road (New Mexico State Road 528) near Rio Grande Boulevard Northwest, in the city’s Alamedan Valley area. Deputies responded to the scene shortly before 5:16 p.m.
No information regarding the cause of the wreck has been disclosed, but all eastbound traffic on Alameda Boulevard was forced to get through the area in a single open lane.

By 6:04 p.m., nearly 50 minutes later, the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened.
It remains unclear how many vehicles were involved or whether anyone was seriously hurt.
