TORRANCE COUNTY, NM — A semi-truck struck a building along Interstate 40 Thursday in Moriarty, claiming at least one life, reports KOAT.
Current news report do not clarify exactly where the wreck occurred, but the City of Moriarty Fire Department said it happened at around 12:00 p.m.
The semi appeared to have run off the interstate before striking a nearby building.
As a result of the collision, one person was pronounced deceased on the scene. Two other people suffered critical injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
An investigation by the Torrance County Sheriff’s Office remains open and ongoing.
