
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A collision Thursday afternoon partially blocked an Interstate 40 connector ramp at the Big I, northeast of downtown Albuquerque, according to NM Roads.
The accident happened on the Exit 159B ramp connecting I-40 eastbound to I-25 northbound, near the city’s Santa Barbara-Martineztown area. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 12:51 p.m.
Little information has been shared at this time, but the ramp’s left lane was closed as a result of the crash.
Motorists were urged to slow down and use extra caution in the area.
As of 1:30 p.m., nearly 40 minutes after the first report, no updates on the scene conditions have been issued, and authorities have not indicated any serious injuries.
