ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A collision was reported Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 40 near Albuquerque’s West Old Town area, according to NMRoads511.
The accident occurred on the eastbound interstate at mile marker 157, approaching Rio Grande Boulevard Northwest. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 1:29 p.m.
While the cause of the wreck has not been disclosed, the scene remained on the roadway for at least 45 minutes, suggesting a major crash.
