Authorities arrest driver for fatal auto ped crash in San Juan County

SAN JUAN COUNTY, NM – According to KOAT, authorities arrested a man for a deadly auto vs. pedestrian collision that occurred on County Road 5589 on September 2..

Investigators used surveillance video from a store near the crash site and other evidence to determine Alvin Paul had strayed off the road and hit Alex Shirley on the night of September 2.

Shirley’s body was found the next morning.

Investigators arrested Shirley and charged him with failing to stop and remain at the scene of a deadly crash, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, and driving with a revoked license.

Driver hits, injures pedestrian near Fairgrounds Addition

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A driver struck and injured a pedestrian near Central Avenue Southeast and San Pedro Drive Southeast on Monday afternoon, according to KRQE.

Following the collision, first responders transported the victim to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Officials have not released the victim’s name.

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the incident.

Deputies clear crash near Alameda in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a wreck on the eastbound off-ramp from Paseo Del Norte Boulevard Northwest to 2nd Street Northwest on Monday.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 3:54 p.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
