At least 1 seriously injured in crash on Isleta Blvd near SW Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Major injuries were reported Monday evening after a vehicle wreck in southwest Albuquerque’s Adobe Acres neighborhood, reports the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene on Isleta Boulevard Southwest at Clinton Boulevard Southwest, near Clinton P. Anderson Park. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 5:36 p.m.

It was unclear what caused the accident or how many vehicles were involved, but the BCSO indicated at least one person suffered “great bodily harm.”

Both northbound and southbound lanes of Isleta Boulevard were closed at the intersection during the response. Delays were expected. Motorists were asked to take alternate routes around the scene.

At 8:03 p.m., more than two hours later, the scene had been cleared and all lanes were announced reopened.


Authorities have not released other information at this time.
