At least 1 injured in collision on Comanche Rd in NE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Albuquerque Police responded to an injury crash Thursday morning on Comanche Road in northeast Albuquerque, according to APD Traffic.

The accident was reported on a span of road between Princeton Drive Northeast and the Pan American Freeway (Interstate 25/U.S. Highway 85). Police dispatchers first received the call shortly before 6:00 a.m.


While the circumstances of the wreck remain unclear, responding officers had both eastbound and westbound lanes of Comanche Road closed in the area. About 25 minutes later, the I-25/U.S. 85 offramp to Comanche Road, as well as all of northbound Pan American Freeway, were also shut down.

At this time, the APD has not confirmed the number of people injured or indicated the severity of their conditions.
