At least 1 dead following wreck near Big-I

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOAT, at least one person is dead following a crash on I-40 EB near the Big-I on Friday.

The collision occurred around 5 p.m.

Crews shut down the area to process the scene.

Officials have not released the name of the victim or victims.

The New Mexico State Police is investigating the incident.

Police investigate deadly crash in Downtown

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a fatal multi-vehicle collision that occurred at 2nd Street NW and Lomas Boulevard on Sunday, according to KOAT.

The crash involved five vehicles and happened around 7:30 p.m. Emergency crews extricated one person from a vehicle.

Authorities have not determined the cause of the wreck, and officials have not released the deceased victim’s name.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KKOB Traffic, a crash was reported at I-40 WB and University Blvd NE on Friday.

The incident happened around 1:55 p.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.
