HIDALGO COUNTY, NM — A semi-truck accident in far east Arizona Wednesday morning has forced part of westbound Interstate 10 to close near Road Forks, reports KOB4.

The wreck, which was reported near Benson, Arizona, by the Arizona Department of Transportation, impacted the westbound lanes of I-10 at mile marker 5 on the New Mexico side of the state line.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash, but westbound traffic from NM was re-routed to New Mexico State Road 80 and allowed to re-enter I-10 in Benson.

Officials also advised taking I-25 north and then getting back on I-40 to continue west.
