ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person died Friday morning after a rollover crash in Albuquerque’s Clayton Heights-Lomas Del Cielo neighborhood, reports KRQE.

The accident was reported at the intersection with Langham Southeast, near Albuquerque Institute of Math & Science, and just east of Interstate 25. Officers responded to the scene shortly before 10:37 a.m.

Few details have been released at this time, but authorities said a car was discovered submerged in a nearby ditch, and its driver was found deceased.

An early investigation indicates the vehicle flipped into the arroyo, landing on its roof into the water.

An investigation remains ongoing, but the APD believes impairment contributed to the fatal wreck.
