APD responds to crash on I-25 SB near Huning Highlands

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Albuquerque Police were called to a vehicle wreck last Thursday night, July 27, on Interstate 25 in east downtown Albuquerque, according to APD Traffic.

The accident happened on the southbound lanes of I-25 at Central Avenue Northeast, near Exit 224A to Lead Avenue Southeast, in the Huning Highlands neighborhood. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 10:00 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what caused the wreck or how many vehicles were involved, but Albuquerque Fire Rescue crews joined APD officers at the scene.


Neither agency has confirmed any major injuries in connection to the incident.
