APD investigates fatal pedestrian crash on Coors Blvd NW in Los Volcanes area

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person died last Friday, November 24, following a pedestrian crash in Albuquerque’s Los Volcanes neighborhood, reports KOAT.

The fatal incident took place at the intersection of Coors Boulevard Northwest and Central Avenue Northwest. It was first reported by KOAT some time before 10:09 p.m.

Preliminary details indicate the victim was rushed to an area hospital after being struck by a vehicle. APD officials later confirmed that the patient died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.

Authorities have not shared any information regarding the circumstances of the event, and it’s unclear whether the driver remained at the scene.

An investigation was in progress.
