APD called to collision on I-40 EB near West Old Town

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Albuquerque Police responded to a crash Sunday morning on Interstate 40 in northwest Albuquerque, according to APD Traffic.

The accident occurred on the eastbound lanes at Exit 157A to Rio Grande Boulevard Northwest, in the city’s West Old Town neighborhood. Officers arrived on the scene at around 9:00 a.m.

Few details have been released at this time, but authorities had the three left lanes closed during the emergency response and initial investigation.


It remains unclear at this time whether anyone was seriously hurt.
