APD, AFR respond to reported crash on I-40 WB in Near North Valley

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Authorities were dispatched to a reported vehicle wreck Tuesday, August 29, on Interstate 40, north of downtown Albuquerque, according to APD Traffic.

The incident occurred on the westbound side of I-40 at 2nd Street Northwest, in the city’s Near North Valley area. Albuquerque Police and Albuquerque Fire Rescue crews arrived on the scene some time before 9:33 p.m.

As of this writing, no further information on the “possible vehicle crash” has been disclosed, but all westbound lanes of I-40 were closed during the response and investigation.

Neither agency has confirmed any injuries in connection to the incident.
