Alleged street racing collision injures two people near Yale Village

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOB, two people were injured when an alleged street race ended with a crash at Gibson Blvd SE and Girard Blvd SE on Saturday.

A green Chevrolet, a purple Dodge, and a Silver Kia were heading west on Gibson Blvd SE at high speeds when the Kia plowed into an orange Mitsubishi turning left from eastbound Gibson Bvd SE to northbound Girard Blvd SE around 2 p.m.

Following the collision, the Dodge and Chevrolet drivers continued heading west.

Paramedics transported the Mitsubishi and Kia drivers to the hospital.

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the incident.

Officials release more details on deadly downtown crash

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Officials have provided more information on a fatal multi-vehicle collision that occurred at 2nd St NW and Lomas Blvd NW on Sunday, according to KOAT.

A driver was heading east on Lomas Blvd NW when they struck a northbound vehicle at the intersection with 2nd St around 7:30 p.m. The collision caused the northbound vehicle to crash into three vehicles that stopped at a red light on westbound Lomas Blvd NW.

Emergency crews extricated one person from a vehicle, and one person died in the collision.

Authorities believe speed may have caused the wreck.

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the incident.

Emergency crews respond to crash near Highland Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KKOB Traffic, first responders were called to the scene of an accident at I-25 SB and Lead Ave SE on Friday.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 4:01 p.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
