Alleged drunk driving crash in Dona Ana County injures 4 children

DONA ANA COUNTY, NM – Authorities said an alleged drunk driver was involved in a crash in Dona Ana County that injured her four children, according to KFOX 14.

Court documents said 26-year-old Tyanna Rose Largo was driving in the area of Dona Ana Road and Dona Ana School Road Dec. 21 when the accident occurred at about 1 a.m. It was reported that Largo was trying to make a left turn onto the dirt road when she crashed her vehicle into a ditch.

The four minors were injured and were transported to an area hospital. According to the report, a sheriff’s deputy detected the smell of alcohol from Largo, and she was subsequently arrested and charged with drunk driving.

Southbound Coors Boulevard closed due to accident

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – An accident caused a road closure in the South Valley late Wednesday night, according to a traffic alert from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The notification, posted at 11:24 p.m., stated that BCSO deputies were at the scene of the crash in the area of Coors Boulevard SW and Garner Road SW.

All of southbound Coors Boulevard was shut down at Garner Road, and drivers were advised to seek alternate routes. The roadway was reopened about an hour later.

Driver arrested after pickup truck crashes into Belen dispensary

BELEN, NM – A driver was arrested after a vehicle crashed into a business in Belen last week, according to the Valencia County News-Bulletin.

Police said the driver of a pickup truck was traveling north on Main Street when the vehicle went up on a curb and ran into Roots Dispensary at 320 N. Main Street. No injuries were reported, but the business was evacuated after the roof appeared to be caving in. The dispensary was temporarily shut down.

The driver involved was arrested on a DUI charge.
