Albuquerque police investigating crash that killed pedestrian

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in northeast Albuquerque on Monday, according to KRQE.

Police responded to the area of Wyoming Boulevard and Lomas Boulevard after the fatal crash. No details were released on the victim or the circumstances leading to the collision.

The incident is under investigation by the Albuquerque Police Department’s Fatal Crash Unit. KOAT reports that it was being investigated as a hit-and-run case.

Teenager dies in accident involving ATV in Roswell

ROSWELL, NM – An accident involving an all-terrain vehicle in southwest Roswell last week claimed the life of a teenager, the Roswell Daily Record reports.

Police said the ATV collided with a Ford Escape at about 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16. The wreck occurred in the area of West McGaffey Street and South Union Avenue.

Two people were on the ATV at the time. One of the occupants, a 17-year-old male, died after being taken to an area hospital. The other occupant, a 20-year-old man, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. Both were from Roswell. The Ford driver, a 42-year-old woman from Roswell, was not injured in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Crash disrupts traffic along Interstate 25 in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A crash was reported to have slowed traffic on Interstate 25 in Albuquerque during Friday morning’s rush hour.

A notification on NMRoads at 7:13 a.m. said that the accident happened on I-25 northbound at mile marker 228, in the area of Montgomery Boulevard. The right two lanes of the interstate were closed while emergency crews responded.

Motorists were advised to proceed with caution and expect delays in the area. It was not clear whether anyone had been injured.
