BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Deputies responded to a vehicle collision early Thursday on Interstate 40 near west Tijeras, reports the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash impacted the westbound interstate near mile marker 173, shortly before 2:03 a.m.
Officials did not say what caused the event or how many vehicles were involved, but all westbound lanes west of the Tijeras exit were shut down.
At 4:21 a.m., over two hours later, the accident had been cleared from the interstate.
It was unclear whether anyone was seriously injured.
