Accident partially closes I-40 WB offramp at Big I in central Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A crash late Friday morning blocked the right lane on an Interstate 40 exit ramp near Albuquerque’s Netherwood Park area, reports NM Roads.

The collision occurred on the Exit 159 ramp connecting I-40 westbound to I-25 northbound. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 11:32 a.m.

At this time, officials have not provided more information regarding the cause of the crash or the types of vehicles involved.

It was unclear whether anyone was injured or when the scene was expected to clear, but as of 1:30 p.m., two hours later, no updates on the conditions have been released.

Motorists were told to expect delays in the area.
