
SIERRA COUNTY, NM — Emergency crews were called to a wreck last Friday night, March 31, on Interstate 25 near Williamsburg, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
The collision occurred on the northbound lanes at milepost 71, south of County Road B068, and southwest of Truth or Consequences. It was first reported by NMDOT at 10:18 p.m.
Authorities did not disclose the circumstances of the crash, but all northbound lanes of I-25 were blocked as a result.
Motorists were urged to slow down and use extra caution in the area as crews tended to the scene. Delays were expected, as all northbound traffic was being re-routed onto New Mexico State Road 187.
