LUNA COUNTY, NM — Emergency crews were called to a crash Wednesday afternoon that blocked part of eastbound Interstate 10 near west Deming, according to NM Roads.
The collision happened on the eastbound lanes between mile markers 52 and 54, an area 27 miles west of Deming and 27 miles southeast of Lordsburg. It was first recorded in the NM Maps index at 12:34 p.m.
Authorities have disclosed very few details at this time, but the closure remained in place for at least three hours, suggesting a major accident.
Motorists were urged to slow down and use extra caution as first responders tended to the scene.
At this time, no information regarding potential injuries has been made public.
