Accident closes section of eastbound Rio Bravo Blvd in south Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Deputies responded to a vehicle crash Monday evening in south Albuquerque’s San Jose neighborhood, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened on the eastbound lanes of Rio Bravo Boulevard Southeast near Prince Street Southeast. BCSO officials arrived on the scene shortly before 7:24 p.m.

No information on the cause of the crash or the involved vehicles has been shared, but all of eastbound Rio Bravo Boulevard was blocked in the immediate aftermath.

At this time, the sheriff’s office has not confirmed any major injuries in the event.
