ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Deputies responded to a vehicle crash Tuesday night on 2nd Street Northwest in north Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision occurred on a stretch of the road (New Mexico State Road 47) at Green Valley Road Northwest, in front of the Bernalillo County Fire Department headquarters. It was first reported by the BCSO at 8:28 p.m., when deputies had already arrived at the scene.

The sheriff’s office has not provided details indicating the cause of the wreck or the types of vehicles involved, but no major injuries were immediately reported.

Authorities had all northbound and southbound lanes of 2nd Street shut down for over 50 minutes, suggesting a significant crash and a more involved emergency response.

At 9:20 p.m., all lanes were reopened to the public.

It remains unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt or had to be taken to a hospital.
