Accident closes part of Dennis Chavez Blvd in SW Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Deputies responded to a crash Monday evening on Dennis Chavez Boulevard in southwest Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision occurred at the intersection with Coors Boulevard Southwest (New Mexico State Road 45), near Walmart Supercenter. It was first reported by the BCSO at 6:07 p.m. when deputies had already arrived on the scene.

A section of westbound Dennis Chavez Boulevard was shut down at the intersection in the immediate aftermath.

By 6:20 p.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway, restoring all travel lanes to traffic.
