ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Albuquerque Police were called to a crash Friday evening on Interstate 40, north of downtown Albuquerque, according to APD Traffic.
The collision occurred on the eastbound interstate near the city’s Wells Park neighborhood. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 5:09 p.m.
Authorities did not disclose the cause of the accident, but lanes 1, 2 and 4 were blocked in the immediate aftermath.

At this time, it remains unclear how many vehicles were impacted and whether anyone was seriously injured.
