DOÑA ANA COUNTY, NM — Emergency crews responded to a crash Thursday morning that blocked New Mexico State Road 404 in both directions near Anthony, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT).
The collision, which forced a closure of NM-404 from mileposts 1 to 9, was first reported by NMDOT at 9:56 a.m.
It was not immediately clear what circumstances led up to the wreck, but motorists were urged to slow down and use extra caution as crews worked the scene. Delays were expected in the area.
As of 12:45 p.m., nearly three hours since the closure, authorities have not released any updates on scene conditions.
