ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A crash was reported Monday afternoon on Interstate 40 near Albuquerque’s Santa Barbara-Martineztown area, according to NM Roads.
The collision took place on the eastbound lanes at mile marker 159, near interchange with I-25 (Big I). It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 2:48 p.m.
Motorists were asked to use extra caution and were warned of delays in the area due to the closure of the left lane and shoulder.
At this time, officials have not released any information regarding the circumstances of the incident or the types of vehicles involved.
