
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Authorities responded to a collision Thursday morning on Interstate 25 near Albuquerque’s Cervantes area, according to TTN Albuquerque.
The crash occurred on the northbound lanes approaching Exit 227B to Comanche Road. It was first reported by the New Mexico Department of Transportation shortly before 10:20 a.m.
Details remain limited, but the right northbound lane remained blocked for over an hour, suggesting a serious accident.
By 11:05 a.m., a traffic backup had stretched down to Interstate 40 (Exit 226) at the Big I.

At 12:25 p.m., NMDOT indicated the scene had been cleared with all lanes reopened to normal traffic.
