GRANT COUNTY, NM — Emergency crews responded to a crash Sunday evening on New Mexico State Road 152 near Iron Creek Campground in Hanover, reports the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
NMDOT officials said the collision impacted the eastbound lanes at milepost 30, east of the Silver City area. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 5:33 p.m.
No details on the circumstances behind the wreck have been shared, but all eastbound lanes in the area were shut down during the response.
Drivers were urged to slow down and exercise extra caution as they approach the scene.
